The Project:
Each year New Homes & Ideas magazine selects a local custom builder to work with companies that donate services and products to construct a custom home. The NHI Dream Home—after being decorated by local designers with donated items—is placed on the tour of the Parade of Homes. Furniture and other household items from the home are sold in a silent auction during the Parade with proceeds going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The goal of this project is to Raise Over $500,000 for the research efforts of the Society.
The Builder:
John Baldwin, of Baldwin Homes Inc., has been chosen to build the 6th Annual NHI Dream Home. Baldwin is an award-winning custom builder who works with clients to ensure his homes are examples of style and quality. For more information on Baldwin Homes, see their ad on page 7 of the Ideas side.
The Head Decorators:
Michelle Palmer-Murphy, owner of MPM Interiors, has been selected as lead decorator to develop the overall vision for the home. Suede Décor (now MPM Interiors) participated in last year’s NHI Dream Home project, decorating a master suite that was both elegant and functional.
