NHI DREAM HOME |OUR HONOREE  Sherilyn Adams, a 7th grader who is on the A/B honor roll, lives with her mother, two sisters and brother. She was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) on February 2, 2003. To read about Sherylin's Room in the 5th Annual NHI Dream Home click here. Sherilyn is a budding artist (shown below is a drawing of her ideal "Dream Home"). She loves swimming and swam for her neighborhood team for several years before her diagnosis. Sherilyn likes skiing and going to the beach, or just hanging out with friends.

It
is because of Sherilyn, and thousand of other children and adults like her
who are battling blood-related cancers, that for the fifth consecutive
year, this magazine had teamed with area professionals to build a home to
raise funds to help support The Eastern NC Chapter of The Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society. Currently Leukemia is the number one killer of children under
the age of 15 (Diseases.)
