Prestige Custom Builders was founded in 1981 out of Jeff Santerre’s passion for Seattle’s sizeable stock of architecturally interesting homes and neighborhoods. His wife, Teresa Santerre, joined the company in 1989, sharing her husband and business partner’s passion. In those 25 years since—the Santerres’ passion never waning—Prestige Custom Builders has sought to increase this city’s sum of beautiful homes. From exceptional custom homes to award-winning kitchen and bath remodels, and from period restorations to second home construction, Prestige Custom Builders’ projects cover the gamut of home construction. Meanwhile, the company also seeks to better the environment by using sustainable building practices in its projects, a movement that is beginning to catch on elsewhere in the industry.

Among its many accolades, Prestige Custom Builders has been named one of the “Top 25 Remodelers to Work For” by Professional Remodeler magazine; earned the Bronze in the 2004 Best of the West Design Awards; won three Remodeling Excellence Awards in 2003; and in January 2006 was named to SH&L’s Seattle 100: The People, Places and Things That Define Seattle Design.
